To be top drawer on the field you also have to excel off the field. On Sunday the Priory back room team came to the party big time in hosting a superb T20 Finals Day.
Sadly we were knocked out in the Quarter final but Cranleigh, Weybridge, Sutton and Sunbury provided the healthy crowd with some top T20 cricket. Cranleigh beat Sutton in the Final and go through to the Regional finals as Surrey's representatives. We wish them well.
These days don't just happen and whilst a great number of people contributed significantly to the success of the day there is no doubt that John Bramhall and Ray Wood were the guys who really put it all together. Take a bow guys.
The ECB Manager in charge of Leagues and Competitions nationally, Paul Bedford, who presented the cup to the winners, described the club's efforts as "an exemplar for all to follow". Praise indeed and a wonderful example of why the club enjoys the success it does.
