2 wicket win against Orpington a "team effort" according to Skipper.

Man of the match Jim Harmer took 3-11 and held and end up with the bat against Orpington at Mynthurst last Saturday. This was instrumental in the 10-man VI-Kings getting home by 2 wickets for their fifth straight win. Captain Chris Hudson was full of praise for his side as they dug in to get home with 7 overs to spare.
"With 5 wickets gone we still had a lot of work to do and I wasn't sure if we had what it took to finish the job. Thankfully the tail put in a shift and each contributed magnificiently to real team effort. I have to mention the work of Chris Hannigan with the ball- he bowled 8 overs for 12 runs and really stifled Orpington's batsmen." said the skipper.
Two further matches for the VI-Kings in September see them hosting Salford CC followed by Allesley CC (Coventry).
