If the wonderful Test match at Edgbaston hasn't whet your appetite for cricket then the upcoming Priory Cricket Week surely will.

Put the dates of July 24th-28th in your diary now and if you're still at work take the week off - you won't regret it.

If you don't count the home Saturday 1st XI fixture with Weybridge on July 22nd the week kicks off with the Cavs. playing South Nutfield on Monday the 24th. Tuesday sees the Club entertain the famed Cricket Club of India (CCI) - The MCC of Indian cricket in what should be a great match. Reigate Priory played on their wonderful test ground on our brilliant 1996 Indian tour.

The next 2 days see the Rapids take on Spencer Spitfires and the Club doing battle with Mogador Wanderers again to win the prized "Major's Trophy"

The week reaches its climax on Friday the 28th July with a Caribbean Cricket Day in honour of the much loved and respected Joey Benjamin. There are two matches, RPCC U18s v RGS 1st XI and the RPCC 1st XI v RGS Old Boys. Both are T20 matches starting at 2pm and 6pm respectively. The day will have a Caribbean theme with food, drinks, music and a DJ. We'll no doubt also have Antoinette Bunyan entertaining us - if we can still afford her.
