Last night T20 cricket returned to Llamaland in the shape of the Surrey Championship Edwards Cup, with Addiscombe Cricket Club the visitors.
Batting first, the Llamas totalled 135 for 5 in their 20, with George Ealham top scoring with 45* (40). Earlier in the innings Ollie Sykes set the tone with 44 off 42.
In the field, George McLoughlin picked up two early wickets including a wonderful grab at first slip by Ollie Sykes. Despite an enterprising 37 from Dan Lineker, including two big 6s, Addiscombe couldn’t quite keep up with the rate. Seth McDowall bowled Lineker with his first ball, and finished with 3/9 off his 4 as the Llamas restricted Addiscombe to 103/7.
Malden Wanderers will be the visitors to Llamaland in the next round, with the date TBC.
