Our Club Coach, Matt Packham, made contact this morning to check whether we had historical 3rd XI records. Such a silly question when addressed to me!! He wanted to know because he reckons he has reached 100 - 3rd XI league wickets and he is right. He has with this season's 5 wickets so far.

He is the 8th player to achieve this landmark behind the current and past groundsmen, the President, the Club's Communications guru, Wicksy, Greg Lawson and Shayne Cossey. Mind you Matt has a long way to go to catch up with James Brickley's 320+ wickets.

A leg break bowler Matt has learned from the best and our picture shows a very young Matt with the legendary Shane Warne. Rumour has it Matt taught Warney how to bowl the flipper but that rumour only stems from Matt.
