26 years ago today Reigate Priory were playing the South African Breweries XI in Cape Town. A party of 42 Club members, including 20 supporters, were on a 14 day tour to South Africa. Bob Munn, the Club’s Treasurer, had organised it all including 9 matches. Sounds a lot but we had 22 players in the party.

From memory we only won one of the matches but we had a great time with trips to the Cape, visits to wineries and a day at the Races.

Attached are a few photos of the trip to renew some great memories for those who went.
The tour programme was a 24 page masterpiece from Wicksy with letters wishing us well from Tony Blair, John Major, Jim Swanton, Graham Gooch, Alan Lamb, Tim Rice, Dickie Bird, Colin Cowdrey and quite a view more.

About time we had another overseas adventure!!
