Rotsey's sets up wobbly 3s

Priory 3s scraped through in an unexpected nailbiter against Spencer on Saturday.
Briggsy and Cossey opened up and both secured early breakthroughs against an in form Spencer batting lineup.
Getting his first bowl of the season, the wrong-foot, left-arm, ear-grazer Nick Rotsey bamboozled the Spencer batsmen and his destructive spell of 5-17 put Priory in a dominant position, followed by Cossey cleaning up the tail on his return, and A grumpy Spencer were 104 all out.

Paul Fisher did a great job, along with John Bramhall of steadying the situation. Plenty of dead batted forward defence shots and nudges for ones, that eked the total up towards the target.
Fisher picked out a fielder for 15, though and when the scores were level, JB pulled out his LBW sweep, to leave Spencer with two wickets to find, defending one run. Wilbur Tiley went out for his first league bat of the year and swished at his first ball, missing outside off stump. Over called.
At the other end, Shayne Cossey (one of our wily old dogs), did what he does best and kept it simple, stupid, smashing a four to win to game and get what could be a valuable 20 points later in the season.
