Priory got the season off to the best possible start by demolishing a weak Banstead line-up and getting in the bar for beers by 4pm.
Winning the toss on a damp morning, the visitors inserted Banstead who hung around gamely but could barely lay bat on ball as opening bowlers Elliot Lodge (1-13 from 7) and Shayne Cossey (3-8 from 10) thoroughly enjoyed conditions.
Nick Rotsey may not have been able to dislodge Banstead's promising number 10 (who stood about 4'6"), but did pick up 3-7 as Banstead wilted and eventually succumbed in the 29th over. From then on it was 'my bat, my ball' from Rotsey. With tea not yet ready, the Llamas set about 'the chase' with aplomb, Rotsey bonking his first scoring shot of the season into a nearby field.
He finished up with 30* from 16 balls, barely giving anyone else a go.
