The 5th Team has been on the road for the last 3 weeks, playing the 3 top sides in the league. The match against Dulwich was the most challenging game as they are currently the league leaders.
Dulwich won the toss and put Priory into bat. The Dulwich opening bowlers were accurate and bowled with pace on a dry wicket. Five Priory players reached double figures, Geoff Chay -10, Mahesh Yapahugedara with a fine 26 and on his debut for the team Morgan Stannard 13. Andy Hoad 21 and George Ellis 10 (not out) wagged the tail with a last wicket partnership of 30.
Priory were all out for 95.
Priory opening bowlers Andy Hoad and Morgan Stannard began well but without making the important breakthrough of taking a wicket. The batsmen were moving rapidly to the target when, after a sharp bit of keeping, Geoff stumped Harry Cahthli off the bowling of Andy.
Dulwich quickly reached 97 to win the game.
The team are at home on Saturday against Normandy.
