Reigate Priory Women’s 1st XI made the trip to Richmond, where captain Evie Spreadbury won the toss and chose to bat in the sunshine.

Batters Esmae Vos and Amelia Hetherington laid a strong foundation with a composed and patient partnership. Vos crafted a well-made 53 from 91 balls, including a six and seven fours, while Hetherington anchored the innings with an unbeaten 54 off 68 balls, striking eight boundaries. Despite the solid start, Reigate were unable to fully capitalise in the final overs, finishing on 152 for 5 from their 35 overs.

In response, Richmond came out with aggressive intent, quickly taking control of the chase. Reigate’s bowlers found it difficult to contain the flow of runs, although there were bright spells from Evie Spreadbury (2 for 12 from 4 overs) and Lily Foster (1 for 28 from 4). Both produced accurate and disciplined bowling, briefly slowing Richmond’s momentum.

However, Richmond’s batters maintained the upper hand, reaching the target with 12.1 overs to spare, finishing on 155 for 4 in just 22.5 overs. Reigate's fielding effort was spirited, but the home side’s positive approach left little room for a comeback.
