Attached are the updated records for the “All Time Greats” of 1st XI league cricket up to the 2017 season since statistics first started to be recorded in 1979.
This year, Luke Beaven and Will Hodson have joined the elite group of now 7 players who have taken over 200 wickets. Next season should see them overtaking the two seamers ahead of them, Ian Stamp and Richard Stather, and getting the spin trio of Underwood, Oldroyd and Bahutule in their sights. Simon King moved up a rung by overtaking the President and moving into 9th place in the wicket takers. Richard Stevens became just the 20th bowler to join the 100 wicket club. An average below 20 is still a stiff target but skipper Beaven is comfortably in that club. He also chalked up two more 6 wicket hauls this season with Hodson also recording another.
